Carl B. Wilson


Carl Wilson was born on April 26, 1959 in Rankin, Texas. He grew up surrounded by family all over West Texas. During his childhood, Carl’s father, Don, and mother, Cindy, were both employed with Amoco. Carl is married to Charee and they have 3 daughters and currently reside in Colleyville, Texas. Carl devotes as much time as possible to his family and encouraging his children from sporting events to school activities. Carl enjoys the outdoors and spends time golfing and fishing with his friends and family.

In 1977, Carl graduated from Brownfield High School. He finished his associate degree from South Plains College in 1980 and began studying at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas until 1982. In 1982 he was the Assistant Golf Professional at Hillcrest Country Club in Lubbock and met Mr. Gene Messer. He began an automotive career selling cars and RV’s at Gene Messer Ford, in Lubbock, Texas in 1985. During the years 1987 to 2006, Carl was promoted several times from Finance Manager to Sales Manager to General Manager to Chief Operating Officer while at Gene Messer Automotive. As COO, Carl had over $800 million in annual sales in over 10 stores with franchises of Mitsubishi, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Cadillac, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Toyota, Chevrolet, Volkswagen, Hyundai, and Kia. They also had a NAPA store – “Buy Here, Pay Here” store with 700-900 noted vehicles with stores in Amarillo, Lubbock and Rockwall, Texas.

In 2007, Carl accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer for Stanley Automotive and moved to Dallas. With Carl’s leadership, Stanley did $300 million in annual sales at 24 locations. In 2009, he began his association with Lenny Cash at TransWorld Leasing in Dallas and West Texas. In 2011, Carl decided to start his own venture, Capital Asset Resources. Capital Asset Resources started with just Carl in his home office and today has 16 associates located in a beautiful office suite in Southlake, Texas as well as Lubbock, Texas.

    Founder & CEO

    Mr. Wilson is an industry professional with 32 years of finance and executive management experience in the transportation sector including serving as Finance Manager, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of a 24-location automotive group.

  • Erik Anderson


    Mr. Anderson is a finance professional with 25 years of experience including 15 years in executive management, serving as a CFO for various companies specializing in aviation finance, private equity, banking, and leasing. He has a BBA from the University of Oklahoma, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

  • Ron Mullins

    Mr. Mullins is a finance professional,located in Stephenville, TX with Capital Asset Resources since February 2016, actively served various communities in Texas and New Mexico for 37 years including Abilene, Midland, Stephenville and Hobbs, New Mexico. Serving as President & CEO of Banks from $30 Million to $1.3 Billion in Assets while specializing in Energy, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Commercial Real Estate, M&A’s and Special Asset administration. Ron served as President & CEO for 29 of his 37 years in the Banking Industry.

  • Ren Ellis

    Director Of Sales

    Mr. Ellis has been with Capital Asset Resources since 2012 and has over 12 years of sales and business operations expertise. Ren attended Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University and received his Business Administration Degree. He manages accounts for our customers across all industries, maintains and creates new relationships with our banks and vendors, and trains and manages new employees. Ren and his wife, Alexa, live in Decatur, Texas and have one son named Kip.

Bank Division:

  • Brandy Headington

    Ms. Headington is a finance professional with Capital Asset Resources. Brandy has been in banking over 20 years serving in leadership roles and specializing in operations, finance, business banking, as well as mortgage and commercial lending. She studied Business Computer Information Systems at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. She also actively serves on the Board of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce Women’s Division.

  • Guy Miller

    Mr. Miller joined the Capital Asset Resources team in 2019 after a banking career that spanned nearly 20 years, 14 of those in the dynamic market of Houston, Texas. A Southwest School of Graduate Banking Alum and holder of an MBA, this seasoned finance professional’s experience runs the gamut from starting a bank, to roles in executive management, portfolio manager, operations, chief financial officer, underwriter and many more. He has been involved with companies from a single location startup to multiple state companies whose revenues exceeded well more than hundred million dollars a year. Guy is passionate about learning, finding best solutions, and is always up for a great conversation about your business, ideally at your location, could be ours, or better yet the occasional golf course.

  • Sparkle Valencia

    Mrs. Valencia is an industry professional with over 13 years of healthcare and administrative experience, 4 years experience in the oil and gas industry and 3 years sales and finance experience. She attended San Angelo State University, where she studied Health Information Technology and was certified in HIPPA compliance.

Sales Team:

  • Scott George

    Mr. George has been in the car and finance business since 1986 and has been with Capital Asset Resources since inception. He specializes in leasing and finance in the South Plains, West Texas, Eastern New Mexico, Midland/Odessa, and Amarillo regions. He currently offices out of Lubbock, TX.

  • Taylor Cromer

    Mrs. Cromer is a finance professional with Capital Asset Resources since 2019. Taylor was a district sales coordinator for a Fortune 500 company for over 2 years, specializing in management, technology, and marketing. She has her bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from Texas Tech University as well as her master’s degree in Kinesiology, with a concentration in management.

  • Tucker Cromer

    Mr. Cromer is a finance professional and has been with Capital Asset Resources since 2019. Tucker attended Texas Tech University and earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sports Science. He then went on to coach/teach for multiple years before becoming a licensed insurance agent with AFLAC. He and his wife Taylor live in Northlake, Texas

  • Greg Massey

    Mr. Massey joined Capital Asset Resources in 2021. Prior to joining our team, he was a successful business owner for 40 years in his hometown of Hobbs, NM. There, he invested a lot of his time by serving on various committees and boards across Lea County. Greg enjoyed serving and supporting the community with his business and is excited to transfer that same passion of helping others into his new role with Capital Asset Resources. He and his wife of 44 years, Kala Massey, have two daughters and two precious grandchildren.

  • Eric Kietzer

    Mr. Kietzer is a finance professional with 20 years of finance and management experience in the auto industry prior to transitioning to banking whilst serving 15 years as Vice President of Business Development. He played golf at University of Mary Hardin Baylor where he received a BBA in Business Management. Where he currently resides in Central Texas.

  • Stormy George

    Stormy attended Texas Tech University and graduated in May 2020 with a degree in Public Relations in the College of Media and Communication. She helped run a business through college where she learned valuable skills to help advance her journey here at Capital Asset Resources. Stormy was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas and has recently moved to the DFW area and services customers across all industries in both areas.

  • Amy Anderson

    Amy Anderson joined the Capital Asset Team in 2022 after working as a Marketing Director in the automotive industry for four years. She received her Bachelors Degree in Marketing from West Texas A&M University. Originally from Amarillo and now residing in Lubbock, she is excited to help the CAR business grow in the West Texas and Panhandle regions.

  • Brad Wilson

    Brad Wilson is now a part of our Lubbock, Texas division. He graduated with degrees from both Angelo State University in 1993 and the University of Texas at Austin in 1996. Brad has over 25 years’ experience in the healthcare industry as a pharmacist with a background in patient care, management, human resources, and business operations. He will be using his business experience and knowledge of the healthcare industry to help businesses expand and grow with creative finance solutions.

  • Terry McAffrey

    Terry attended Oklahoma Baptist University and graduated from Southwestern Seminary. He started his career in automobile sales then transitioned into the finance department within that industry. Spending the last few years as a mortgage banker he understands financing as well as the importance of relationships. Terry currently resides in Canyon, Texas.

  • Clark Kelcy

    Mr. Kelcy is a part of our Lubbock, Texas division, he graduated from Texas Tech in 2007 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Clarks previous career was in the oil field trucking business and served in this industry for over 13 years. He and his wife, Sarah, and two children, live south of Lubbock now in New Home, TX. They are very active in their community and love living in a small town. He is excited to use his business experience and knowledge to help businesses expand and grow with creative finance solutions.

  • Michael W. Morris

    Michael W. Morris is a value-added business leader in the greater Houston area reflected in his experience as a community bank Shareholder/Executive President for the past twenty years. Over this period, Mr. Morris built and managed branches for Moody National Bank, Sterling Bank, and Post Oak Bank located in Pasadena, Texas. Along with other executives, Mr. Morris was instrumental in the sale of Post Oak Bank to Allegiance Bank in late 2018. Mr. Morris also maintains his TREC sales agent license.Before returning home to Houston and entering the banking industry, Mr. Morris helped manage a family-owned land development company located in Breckenridge, Colorado. Along with his time in the banking industry, Mr. Morris has also been a partner in a real estate investment company, underground utility construction company, and used car dealership. Michael has been a member of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club serving the community for many years. Michael earned his B.B.A. - Finance from the University of Houston (1995) and graduated with honors from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University (2018).

  • Kevin Whipple

    Mr. Whipple comes to Capital Asset Resources with thirty years of experience in the business development and hospitality industries. He is an Oklahoma native raised in Duncan Oklahoma. His father had a career in the oil and gas industry and was highly respected by his peers. His mother also had a successful career in the oil and gas industry retiring from Halliburton. Kevin attended Oklahoma State University and received a business degree in Business Administration while representing the Oklahoma State University golf team and winning an NCAA National Championship in 1987. Kevin and his wife Melody, live in Northlake, Texas and have two children a son Kyle and a daughter Payton.
